7 Tools That Make Content Creation FASTER & EASIER
Creating Content is a process! When I first got started, I didn’t realize how many steps were involved and found myself scratching my head and wondering how others had time for this!
Just like all our Startup Society members, my first thought was to go to others who have been there before. I needed to find out from my community how they were doing this!
How do you have time for this?
How do you speed this process up?
The best part about masterminding with others is that you get some great ideas to build upon! That is when I started incorporating tools into my own business that helped me start getting results faster and more easily.
So, today, I want to share with you 7 of my favorite tools that will help solve your time problem when it comes to creation.
#1 Save Time PLANNING
Who doesn’t want to save 30-60min for each piece of content they create? If you haven’t started playing with ChatGPT, now is a great time to do so.
While the tool is definitely impressive, I don’t personally think it works well enough for start-to-finish content creation. But it definitely can help you out!
One of my favorite ways to use it is to save time in the planning process by getting ChatGPT to help me generate content ideas.
But to actually save you time and get valuable responses, you will need to be strategic with your questions and prompts.
Start by telling ChatGPT about your business, including your main business message, your goal with this piece of content, details about the tone you want to convey, and even who your target audience is. Then share your question or prompt for what you would like ChatGPT to help you generate ideas about.
Use ChatGPT to plan and generate ideas for blog posts, YouTube videos, social media captions, emails… the options are seemingly endless!
I’ve shared more about How to Use ChatGPT as a FREE Virtual Assistant in this video here that you may want to check out.
#2 Save Time ORGANIZING
Asana has been a major tool for me when it came to finally organizing my business. Now I can get so much more done because I can visually see what needs to happen in priority sequence, I can schedule tasks for quarterly or annual follow up, and can communicate clearly with my team members.
In this video, you can see an example of how I use Asana projects for my complete video production workflow. This way, every detail is included and nothing gets missed. I don’t need to remember the process from last time, it’s all laid out for fast & easy results!
#3 Save Time OUTLINING
We’re going to look at ChatGPT again here, with a whole different approach because it’s a great multi-tool!
To get a different type of response out of ChatGPT is as simple as providing a specific prompt asking for an outline for the type of platform you want to post on. In this case, for outlining, you can use the same thread as the one you used for idea generating so that your previous business description is already taken into account.
Hot tip: Before asking for an outline, share the major problem your target audience is facing and the main motivators that they have to solve that problem. This way, the outline you get will have a story flow your audience can relate to.
#4 Save Time PRODUCING
Multi-tasking can easily swing into task-switching which actually takes longer than doing one thing at a time… OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) has managed to solve this major problem by allowing you to record and combine multiple sources and elements all at the same time.
This means that you can record yourself on camera straight into your computer, while also screen recording and combining other elements like audio. You can even stream the video you’re creating live WHILE you create it.
It’s a little hard to explain with words, so see what this visually looks like here.
#5 Save Time RECORDING
Similarly to OBS, Loom allows you to record yourself while also screen recording which makes it so much easier for your viewer to understand your message.
The use-case of Loom is quite different from OBS, though, in it’s designed to quickly record and send video messages.
You can use Loom to record a quick video to make communication with a prospective customer, a student, or a team member more personalized. We all love to see and hear who we are talking to!
You can easily share the direct link to your Loom video to send a video message, but you can even use them inside your courses or membership by embedding the video on your website. It’s the easiest way I’ve ever found to create course content!
#6 Save Time EDITING
Editing is an entire skill set to learn and so many content creators have no more time and energy left to put into learning extensive software and editing skills.
Thankfully Canva has come out with a new video editor that makes the process so much more simple. You can elevate your content with motion graphics in a matter of minutes, add top of the line stock photos and videos, plus all the fonts you need to get your content out to your audience in an engaging way.
#7 Save Time CREATING BETTER CONTENT
Want to cut your time back while also leaping forward in quality of your content? Then you will want to know about Descript!
The unique thing about Descript is that you can edit your video by editing the text of the transcript of that video. This is the perfect option for someone who’s more visual and would find it easier to see the words, and instead of having to play around with cutting audio waveforms.
You can also use this for editing podcasts — cut out the filler words like “um” or “like” by simply striking through those words when you see they come up! You can also cut and paste entire paragraphs from one section to another and watch how your video automatically cuts to match. Now you only need to review your video once at the end, rather than scanning through it multiple times.
There is a lot that goes into content creation from start to finish and these tools will allow you to streamline the entire process so that it can be faster & easier for you to keep sharing quality content with your audience.
I mentioned at the beginning that if it weren’t for community, I wouldn’t have found and started using any of these systems.
The thing is, new ideas and processes are being developed every day! We need to stay in close community to keep sharing with one another and lifting together, which is why I created Startup Society.
It is an all-in-one membership community where you can mastermind with our community of digital entrepreneurs, join live co-working sessions, and get direct coaching to keep you moving onwards and upwards in your creation process.
Not only that, but membership also includes our complete online business curriculum that will guide you to build your online business step-by-step from the ground up.
