3 Steps to CONSISTENT Income From Your Online Biz
Most new businesses go through three phases:
Phase 1: No Sales
At the very beginning, most companies don't make any money at all, which makes sense because they're still figuring out what people want and how they can effectively sell it.
Phase 2: Intermittent Sales
Eventually, you start making a few sales here and there. You're making money and have become a “real” business. You're excited to finally have the ball rolling, but your revenue is fairly inconsistent… not really something you can rely on as your full-time thing.
Phase 3: Consistent Sales
In this final phase, your business is finally making consistent sales and paying you a consistent income each and every month!
Q for you: which phase are you in right now?
Before starting a business, a lot of people assume that the hardest part will be just getting those first few sales to transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2.
But the truth is, making a few bucks isn't that hard. By just trying a few different products, talking to a few potential customers, and saying a few different things, you'll see some success.
But, after making those first few dollars, too many people think that to make MORE money, they just need to do MORE of those same actions.
You've probably heard that 90% of new businesses fail within the first few years… and this mistake ☝ is one of the main things that kills them.
Since I'm guessing you don't want that to be the fate of YOUR new venture, let's talk about a better way to make the transition to Phase 3 — a way that will give you much better odds of success.
First: you need a scalable product.
And by that, I mean you need a product that there's real demand for — not just something your mom and sister buy from you because they love you and want to help you out.
Second: you need “marketing messages” that resonate with your target customers.
And to create messages like that, you need to get to know the people you're trying to sell your product to. You need to find them, talk to them, and learn their language. What do they say they want? Why do they want it? How do they describe those things?
Third: You need marketing and sales systems.
If you're sporadic about how you market your business and your sales process is completely unstructured, then you can't really be surprised when your revenue is volatile. #toughlove To create the consistent results (aka income you can depend on to pay your bills and more) then you're going to need to create two things:
a lead-generation process that produces predictable results
a system that consistently turns those leads into paying customers
It's only after doing these three things (and creating those two systems) that you'll have a business you can truly rely on.
I'm passionate about this because that ☝ is my #1 goal for you: to build a business you can rely on. A business you can count on to pay your bills. A business you trust enough that you can confidently quit your job. A business that gives you true flexibility.
